Izlazak.com: Do you feel like one of persons who’s responsible for dynamic development of house music in last two decade?

Morales: Yes I do feel like one of the people that’s been responsible for the evolvement of house music. I was one of the first DJ’s in NYC to play house music.

Izlazak.com: When you were on Exit festival back in 2002. you said that dance music and audience has changed. You talking about that everything become commercial and audience mostly don’t interesting for the music that played at the parties. I agree with you, but press conference was short and you didn’t have chance to explain more your state. Can’t you do it now, please?

Morales: I feel that house music today has definitely changed within the last 10 years or should I say that the scene has changed. Technology has made it easier to make music at home. Therefore the quality of music alone is not that good. I also don’t like the segregation of of music in the scene today.

Izlazak.com: There are to many young DJ’s, and it’s very hard for them to find the place on the global dance scene. What do you think about dance scene right now?

Morales: Yes it is true we have many DJ’s in the world today. Even Paris Hilton wants to be a DJ. The scene is very big now for DJ’s.

Izlazak.com: Do you have any suggestion for the newcomers?

Morales: The advice that I have for newcomers is to be patient and to do it for the love of music and not for the fame. I’ve been DJing for 30 years now. I only started traveling 15 years ago.

Izlazak.com: Let’s talk about your latest album 2 Worlds Collide. I really like it because it sound like back to the basic - to the beginning of club and house scene, and it still sounds very fresh. I guess that was a idea. (your comment, please)

Morales: With my new album "2 Worlds Collide" I wanted to bring back good vocal tracks which I feel is lacking in the house scene today. My aim was to blend soul and electronic sounds together.

Izlazak.com: What do you think, after those electro hype, what is the future of house music in the next 5 or 10 years? Do you have any "vision"?

Morales: The world goes around in circles and so does music???

Izlazak.com: You did lots of remixes, what’s your favourite?

Morales: It’s very difficult for me to name a favorite mix being that I’ve done so many but some of my favorites are:

Dreamlover - Mariah Carey
Where love lives - Alison Limerick
Mr. Loverman
Say Something - Mariah Carey

Izlazak.com: What your main task when you do the remix, do you have maybe some kind of basic mould for that?

Morales: I never know what I’m going to do with a remix. It’s almost like a jam session.

Izlazak.com: And finally, what is important for you when you start set in the club? Is that first track that you will play, atmosphere or maybe girls in the first line.?

Morales: The atmosphere is very important. It will help me decide how I am going to begin my set.
